The room is very efficient, almost like staying in a camper van in the middle of a skyscraper, but just enough and just right for a mother-daughter trip. The compactness of the room is balanced by the nice common spaces, including the scenic rooftop bar and the comfortable cafe with ping-pong tables. LOVED the staff, the efficient room, the location, the value and Vibe! Felt comfortable and safe always. The room was like a cabin on a luxury ocean liner. Modern, tasteful, great! The common areas were wonderful - offering lots of options to chat with others, play pool or ping pong or just relax with a coffee and read. My personal favorite- the rooftop terrace ❤️. Pod 39 is an affordable alternative in New York that provides the amenities of more expensive hotels. Start your day with a continental breakfast with pastries, granola, fruit, bagels, and complementary coffee. Rooms, while small, are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location cant' be beat as one is only a five minute walk from Grand Central Station. The neighborhood, Murray Hill, is also quieter than Times Square, yet gives one the feel of being in the city. There are abundant dining opportunities around the hotel. Stay at Pod 39. POD39 provided exactly what I needed for my trip to NYC: a clean, safe, quiet room near public transportation. POD39 is near Grand Central Station and multiple bus stops. Grocery stores are 2-3 blocks away. Staff arranged a private car to the airport after my week of exploring Central Park, the High Line, Little Island, Pier 57, the Seaport District, and several Broadway shows. My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights and would definitely come back again.

The location is super convenient, being in midtown and only a couple blocks from Grand Central Station, but also feels somehow cozy, being on a slightly less busy street.

The front desk staff were super helpful, friendly and professional, when whilst dealing other many other guests. And when we had a request, they resolved it quickly and easily. Checking out was a breeze, too.
